Good Housekeeping published a list of 16 advent calendars it suggests sending to college students as holiday care packages. The options include candy, beauty products, puzzles, collectibles and small craft projects; the article does not report sales figures or independently verify current prices and availability.
Good Housekeeping has published a list of 16 advent calendars it recommends as care-package gifts for college students, positioning the daily treats and activities as a way to mark the end of the semester and the approach of winter break. The choices span candy, beauty products, puzzles, collectibles and crafts, rather than focusing only on traditional chocolate calendars.
The guide’s featured picks include a Sour Patch Kids calendar with two candies a day, a 12-day Burt’s Bees lip balm set, The Body Shop’s calendar with 24 trial-size bath and body products, and a candy assortment featuring 96 pieces from around the world. The report describes the latter as four pieces per day and says it includes a booklet and a scorecard for ranking favorites.
Other suggestions are intended to offer activities or keepsakes alongside food. The list includes a calendar of 12 mini puzzles, each with 80 pieces; a 24-door Williams-Sonoma chocolate calendar; a Marvel calendar with small builds; and a Stitch-themed calendar of blind-box mini figures. It also features popcorn, hot sauce, cookies, daily jokes, crafts, gemstones, jewelry and a charm-bracelet set.
The article presents the calendars as items that can be mailed to a student’s college address and opened after Thanksgiving break. It does not provide a single price range for all 16 products. Some entries in the supplied source carry promotional labels such as “Now 30% Off” or “Now 23% Off,” but the source does not establish how long those offers last or whether they remain available.
A Daily Gift for the Semester’s End
The list offers families a gift format built around repeated, small surprises, rather than a single package of snacks or supplies. That may appeal to people looking for a holiday gift that arrives at a student’s campus and provides something to open over several days, especially during the busy stretch before winter break.
The range also gives shoppers options beyond sweets: a student might prefer puzzles, personal-care items or desk collectibles. Those are editorial suggestions, not evidence that the products improve study performance or relieve stress. The guide’s claims about practical uses—such as bath products helping a student avoid a store trip—are the publication’s framing, not measured outcomes.

How the Guide Groups Its Picks
The source is a Good Housekeeping shopping guide, not a reported study of college students’ buying habits or a news announcement from the product makers. Its premise is that an advent calendar can serve as a themed care package timed to the last classes and exams before a holiday break.
The 16 ideas cover different durations and contents. Several calendars run for 24 days, while the lip balm, jewelry, hot sauce and puzzle selections include shorter countdowns. The guide’s descriptions mix product features with editorial judgments, such as calling one jewelry calendar a major gift and describing a puzzle set as a study-break distraction.

Prices and Stock May Change
The supplied source does not give a publication date, and it is unclear whether every calendar is currently in stock or available for delivery to all college addresses. Promotional discount labels are not accompanied by dates, retailer links or terms in the material provided, so current prices cannot be confirmed from it.
The article also does not state whether the products were independently tested for this particular guide, how the 16 items were selected, or whether shipping deadlines would allow them to arrive before finals. Students’ dietary needs, allergies, preferences and campus delivery rules will vary; the source does not assess those factors across the full list.

Check Delivery Before Ordering
Readers considering one of the calendars should check the retailer’s current price, stock status and shipping estimate before placing an order, particularly if they want it to arrive before a specific exam period or holiday. They should also review ingredients and product details for allergies, dietary restrictions, skin sensitivities or age guidance where relevant.
The source does not announce a follow-up or report that the calendars have been purchased by students. The next practical step is therefore product-by-product verification with the seller; availability and delivery timing remain retailer-dependent.
